Great House Motel

Friendly hotel manager. He just acquired the property about 8 months ago and voiced plans for significant updates as he is able. Bed comfortable. The bathroom had a moldy smell but was remedied by turning on the fan and keeping the door closed unless needed to use. Neighbor guests seem to understand keeping the noise down. Slept fitfully. Reasonable rate during peak season (~$140) where other motels were averaging $200-300/night. Didn’t see sketchy people hanging out at property. Felt reasonably safe.

Little hidden gem. I was afraid at first but, I was pleasantly surprised. The owner is very nice. Room looked very nice and clean. A little dated but, welcoming. Had a newer A/C and heater, fridge and microwave, 5 cup coffeemaker. My only complaint is no sugar only Splenda but, guess that's a luxury and can easily be purchased at chevron 1 block away. This room is perfect for business week stay over or an overnight visit. Tv is not castable but, they have basic cable and free wifi. The owner was very nice and said they are completely renovating by next year. I wish them the best!!

This is a really affordable place! I have to be honest, I was a bit worried at first when I arrived. My sister booked the motel and I did not have a great first impression. But I was pleased with our stay, no complaints AND the rooms were priced well. We were supposed to stay in a room with two king size beds, but the room got flooded. So they book us with two rooms with a king bed inside each room at the same price. They are very professional with great customer service, and they are family operated. We waited in the lobby for a few minutes until the owner came, and the elderly couple was kind and offered us water. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I loved how homey it felt, especially downstairs with their vegetable garden near the main office. The room had all the basic amenities needed, such as TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave... and EVEN a blow dryer! It's a great place to stay if you need something simple with affordability.

For the price you pay, it's really worth it. We at first got the room with strong smoke odor, but receptionist agreed to change our room with no hesitation.

Super-clean, well-maintained, and has everything one needs. I found its summer high-season price to be a lot lower than the competition

This quaint Sequim motel has a charming decor, one that brought me back to a simpler time. My room was clean and neat as if great care and attention was put into preparing it for my arrival. It certainly isn’t a Hilton but if you’re looking for a safe, fun, clean and enjoyable experience I’d certainly recommend.

Exceptional Stay at the Great House Motel! I had a fantastic experience at the Great House Motel in Sequim. The staff was incredibly fast, attentive, and professional—always friendly and ready to help. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything you need, from restaurants to local attractions. I highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area. It’s a hidden gem with top-notch service!

There was a bit of a fiasco with the reservation, not the motel's fault at all though. And when they couldn't find me they were about to give me a complimentary room until it got settled! Fortunately, it all got straightened out and I was able to go to my room. They were patient and friendly through the whole experience and gave me a bottled water. I would stay here again and recommend it. Thank you for you patiyand understanding in the mix up!
